Overview
Our client is a start-up tax technology company, that has acquired funding from a tier 1 investment firm. Their product is a platform to be used by in-house tax functions to manage all their tax affairs globally, and their product is already live with a number of well known multinationals companies.
As they grow, they want to hire a tax manager who will work closely with everyone in the business; including helping developers to understand client requirements from a tax perspective to helping marketing on branding projects, and so much more.

Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor the regulatory international tax developments to identify if and how new functionalities can be added to the platform
- Support in managing (online forum) and coordinating interactions with the company’s network and advisory board
- Do functional testing of the product in case of new releases. Also, do continuous testing to monitor the overall performance of the product and the value that is unlocked for in-house tax teams and the ecosystem partners
- Produce tax-technical content (whitepapers, blogs, podcasts, …) and contribute in general to (content) marketing initiatives
- Participate in panel discussions and events organized or sponsored by the company
- Provide in-house training to the team on burning tax topics and develop a tax knowledge database
- Contribute to developing the product roadmap with the product team and join strategic discussions
- Support the different departments like sales, customer success, product, marketing, operations, and engineering with technical tax knowledge and ad-hoc tax questions
Must have
Feel comfortable in a very fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
6-10 years of tax experience in an international in-house tax team
Ability to translate tax technical requirements to non-tax people, for example, IT developers
Have excellent written and verbal communication in English, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders of all levels
Nice to have
Having in-house experience, also previous experience in a consulting firm would be ideal
