Compliance affects everyone. Every country has its own laws and regulations for importing and exporting products. Being compliant is making sure that a company is meeting legal & regulatory obligations with customs. Key experience that is required when hiring customs professionals include: international exposure, duty management, broker management, customs duties & tariffs, logistics, classification, and origination.

AEO is also a buzzword that we are seeing more and more. This certification is highly advantageous for a business and signifies that a company is secure within a supply chain. At the moment AEO is not mandatory, but this will become more prevalent post-Brexit. Making sure that individuals have this expertise has been crucial to many recent hires.
